Colin Burns is an artist, musician and all-around creative force. I caught up with him during the opening of Cult Awareness Network, his art show that is currently up at the Storefront Project in New York City.

 

I met Colin way back in the early 90’s, during my Boston years. He fronted two of my favorite bands from that era, La Gritona and Slaughtershack.

Angelo was able to make some time to talk about his martial arts journey, dealing with the stress of competition and the trajectory of his fight career.

Terence Hannum, author, multi-instrumentalist member of experimental, electronics-infused metal band Locrian and visual artist returns to talk about his new body horror novella All Internal published by Dynatox Ministries. Terence published his first novella, Beneath the Remains back in 2016 and his non-fiction writing has appeared on Noisey, Bandcamp and on his own blog http://www.terencehannum.com/blog

Malcolm Tent is a musician, record label mogul, music archivist and all around interesting guy. I met Malcolm back when he was the proprietor of Trash American Style, one of the most important record stores in the Tri-State Area. He also runs the record label TPOS and has released music by The Pist, Antiseen, GG Allin, David Koresh and his own projects such as UltraBunny, Bunny Brains and his own solo acoustic punk rock.

Rennie Resmini, vocalist and co-founder of Starkweather joins us for this episode. I’ve admired Starkweather for many years; their career stretches all the way back to 1992 with their first LP Crossbearer. They’ve twisted the hardcore punk genre by incorporating metal, progressive rock, noise rock and other less obvious elements like The Birthday Party into their own unique style.
